About our birds……….

On Snow White Wings uses only well trained healthy release doves (white homing pigeons also known as rock doves) for our releases. Our birds go through several months of intensive training before going on their first release job.

Their safety and well being is very important to us. Our birds receive extensive training to enable them to safely navigate their way home after your event.

These are the only type of White Release Birds that should be used. The smaller white ring necks doves sometimes also called Love Doves should never be used for releases. Love Doves are not capable of fending for themselves in the wild and have no homing instinct so once released are at the mercy of the elements and predators and will face certain death. Love Doves do make beautiful displays at your special event but no reputable Dove Release Company will allow them to be used for release for any reason.

Even White Release Doves need to have proper training

and handling so that they can safely navigate home

after they are released at your event. Our dove release

coordinators are experienced handling the release of

these birds . For this reason no reputable release company

will sell or ship you birds for self release.

Using someone who will allow this is a certain way to

have a disappointing release for your event, since the

birds will arrive hungry, thirsty and dirty from transport

with no way for you to properly care for them.
